Traditional JudoJudo Joint LocksKansetsu Waza
Be very careful when you practice these joint locking techniques! Joint locks (kansetsu waza) come on very quickly and can cause severe, long-term, damage if applied incorrectly, too quickly, or with too much force. You should practice only under the supervision of a qualified instructor, and apply these techniques with gradual, incremental, force, giving your partner a lot of time to tap out. If you are working with someone who is refusing to tap out, let go of the technique - it is far better to let go in time rather than cause an injury!
