Judo For MMAJudo Joint Locks for Mixed Martial ArtsInstructional Judo videos of traditional Judo joint locks and submissions we have modified for use in MMA
Most of the traditional Judo joint locks and submissions can be easily adapted to no gi fighting. Other than sweat making no gi submission grappling more slippery, almost all the standard judo submissions can be done very successfully. This is one of the areas in which using your Judo in MMA can be done easily. While we add to this section, please also check out the traditional judo joint locks section for more mixed martial arts submission ideas. Of course, always be very careful when practicing these techniques as they can cause serious injury if done too quickly or with too much force. You should always learn under the supervision of a qualified instructor and apply the techniques with gradually increasing force in order to give your partner lots of time to tap out. Always err on the side of caution and let go of a technique well before causing injury to your partner, even if he does not tap. Click a thumbnail to see a videos of no-gi joint locks.
