Tsuri Goshi - Lifting Loin This throw looks similar to o goshi, with the hand around the waist gripping the belt.
This throw was originally developed for use as a counter to uke thwarting an initial hip throw attempt by lowering their stance and thrusing their hips forward.
Tsuri goshi employs the lifting action of the belt-gripping hand to (if you're really strong) lift uki up or (if you're like me) to prevent uki from dropping further while tori drops below him and applies the throw.
Kuzushi is forward and the throw is done with knees bent, and tori stepping in deeply between uke's feet while at the same time, his arm goes around uke's back and grasps the belt.
(Thanks to Darkslide362 for taking the time to read and point out the obvious flaws in our original comments on this throw on the sherdog forums - it was done in haste while trying to get our (rather large) judo site operational!)
